Vision Arrow, founded in 1996, combines adventure travel, the mythic quest, and the search for meaning. Centered in rural Thompson, Pennsylvania, we offer workshops and vision quests around the world, including the Utah Canyonlands, Bali, the Sahara Desert, and retreat centers, city parks, clearcut forests, and private living rooms.


People who come to Vision Arrow are seekers. They’ve done a lot of inner work, but still they search for that missing Something Else that will make them feel fully alive and true to themselves in the way they were meant to be. Here’s what you will discover when you take a Vision Arrow program:

  • Within you is a force that calls you forth and another force that holds you back, and you make the choice many times a day to follow one or the other.

Vision Arrow programs are different from other wilderness rites of passage trips, quests, and personal growth workshops in that we do not perceive you as lacking something that we can somehow supply. We have no system or dogma that you must follow. We do not claim to be able to heal you. We know the treasure is within you and we show how to use the tools you already have, not just to find that beautiful, joyful self but to use it in every aspect of your life.
